My Closing Thoughts (My Choice)
Honestly, all of these action cameras are fantastic, but I’ve made the switch from GoPro to the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, and I’m loving it!
I used GoPro from the Hero 8 all the way to the Hero 13, but I kept running into overheating issues. Any time I recorded a vlog longer than 30 minutes, the camera would shut down from the heat. It was frustrating, and the battery life wasn’t ideal either. Since switching to the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, I’ve noticed a huge improvement. I can film for up to an hour without draining a full battery, and there’s no overheating at all.
This is just my personal experience, and GoPro still has a huge fan base—you might be one of them! The best choice is the one that suits your needs. Whether you go with DJI or GoPro, both are solid options, especially for vloggers and travel enthusiasts.
