I set out with nothing but a restless soul,
A heart unmarked, but yearning to be whole.
The road ahead, unknown, yet full of grace,
Each step a story, each mile a new place.
Through winding streets and ancient skies,
I meet the world through strangers’ eyes.
Their smiles like sunshine, their words like songs,
A thousand lifetimes in a moment’s throng.
I taste the spice of foreign air,
Breathe in the scents of places rare,
With every sunrise, a chance to grow,
A bit more open, a bit more aglow.
I’ve seen the dance of colors bright,
In markets alive with day and night,
And felt the warmth of hands unknown,
In every corner, I find a home.
But oh, the longing when it’s time to leave,
To part with the places that made me believe
That in every goodbye, there’s something gained,
A lesson learned, a new heart unchained.
And though I wander, always unsure,
I find a piece of myself in every new door.
For each journey molds me, each path a part,
Of a love for the world that beats in my heart.
So, I travel, not to escape, but to find,
The pieces of myself left behind,
In the lands I leave, and the faces I meet,
In the quiet moments, where hearts and horizons greet.
